One of our favourite designs is now available to be made on short notice. Custom lengths and heights are possible depending on wood stock available.

The Friends Craft Bench references common Chinese school benches and Jackie Chan movie benches.

We improve the design and durability by using compound angled legs and exposed protruding joints. We use double the typical thickness for the bench top, and add soft curves to the leg joints to visually lighten.

This bench teaches apprentices to work with compound angled joints, as well as provides wage growth as their technical skills improve. We hope to expand our sales and workers to pressure wages to increase across industry.

Besides providing higher than average wages to workers, we believe our works offer customers incredible value for money. We have one of the lowest price points for solid hardwood jointed furniture. By organising as a worker-owned coop, we are not obligated to maximise profit for shareholders, so both workers and customers can win.
